A tractor-trailer overturned on Northbound Interstate Five Saturday afternoon, creating an effective roadblock across all four lanes just north of the transition ramp from Westbound Highway 44. At around 3:30PM a Ford pickup driven by 26-year-old Darian Mauricio of Shasta Lake was entering the freeway from Highway 44 when he lost control, traveled out of his lane and collided with the big rig hard enough to push it sideways and topple it over. The big rig then hit the guard rail and some light poles before coming to rest. Nobody was injured. One lane was clear to allow traffic through, but cleanup and recovery was difficult and it was Midnight before all four lanes were reopened.
