CHP: Traffic Stop Uncovers Over A Pound Of Heroin

Red Bluff Area CHP officers made a major drug bust on a teenage boy Tuesday. At 3:45PM in the afternoon, officers stopped a car for speeding on northbound Interstate Five near the Hooker Creek exit. A 17-year-old boy with no driver’s license from Albany, Oregon was behind the wheel. The officer was suspicious of the boy’s behavior, so he had his K9 take a sniff around the outside of the car, and the dog drew the officer’s attention to the passenger side door. More than a pound of black tar heroin was reportedly discovered hidden in the door panel. The boy was booked into juvenile hall.
