A 43-year-old man was shot Saturday morning, and then he was arrested by Redding Police. Officers were sent to Snavely Drive on reports that two neighbors were having a loud disagreement. As officers were on their way, 9-1-1 callers reported hearing a single gunshot. When they arrived they spoke with William Head, who lives nearby on Ward Lane. He was suffering a gunshot wound to his foot which he said was inflicted by a man on Snavely Drive. As head was transported to Mercy Medical Center, officers went to talk to the alleged shooter. His story was that head had assaulted him and brandished a knife, so he pulled out a gun in self defense. Head smacked down on the gun, causing it to discharge into his foot. Head was later booked into jail for stalking, assault with a deadly weapon and terrorist threats.
