A man was fatally shot Friday morning during an argument at a Layton Road apartment complex, according to police. Officers were called just after 7AM to the Bechelli Oaks Apartments on Layton Road regarding a disturbance. While enroute officers were advised that 2 males could be heard on the 911 call arguing. The caller told dispatchers that a man was outside of his apartment and was armed with a knife. A short time later a gunshot was heard by dispatchers and the caller said he had shot the other man. Officers arrived and found a man dead from a single gunshot wound. Investigators say that the 911 caller was cooperative and provided a statement. The name of the deceased is being withheld until his family is notified.
