Man Will Stand Trial For Fatal 2013 Crash

A 60-year-old Happy Valley man will be tried for the death of a woman in a 2013 crash. Bryan Reed was riding a Harley-Davidson on Lassen Avenue in Happy Valley when he rear ended a quad-runner. The camouflage quad had been parked in the road in the dark with Justin Arrowsmith sitting on it talking to 41-year-old Gina Hansen. She was thrown about 30 feet, causing head and neck injuries and she was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. Arrowsmith was drunk and Reed was allegedly on Methamphetamine. Arrowsmith fled to his home. He had four prior DUI’s and was found guilty by a jury in September and sentenced to 8 years in state prison. Reed faces charges including vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. His preliminary hearing was Thursday and he’ll be back in court next Thursday.
